The Blues
My insistence on sleeping 10, 12 even 14 hours a day has got to stop. I know it’s the blues. The down comforter wrapped in flannel, the super soft polar fleece blankie and sweet snuggly Claire (who needs a bath) does not help. Plus it’s winter and I’m sad and I don’t feel rested and I love to dream, and CRAP! I’ve got to shake this. There’s so much I want to do but I just don’t feel rested on the inside. I know meditation and exercise will help. Plus visiting blogs. But that will mean I have to get out of bed!

New Year's Day at The Fold
Once again I started the New Year off right. I went to Toni Neil's 3rd Annual New Year's Day Fest for a day of spinning and shopping and it was glorious. I kept running into friends old and new from The Cultured Purls and The Fold. I promised to teach lace in February so I was given a real lei to wear! There was tons of yummy food, tons of fiber folks to meet and greet and the day, the day was just great. I spun alpaca. Successfully! I took Deva and Claire to the park. As promised! I made great progress on my next project - Chinese Red Vest (in Blue) from Folk Vests. Great way to celebrate losing 24 pounds! And I have a new favorite movie - The Lady in the Water.
I don't know if I'll get my family back. But at least I know my heart still works. I still love and am loved in return.
